Layer 2 solution for our fragile hands
Human hands are soft and fragile. The project is to develop an external protector to enhance human hands’ disadvantages by mimicking animal shells found in nature. The two animals I did for pattern research were pangolin and fugu, blowfish. I elaborated on pangolin’s scale pattern and created a sketch of how the glove will look like.
The Process of Making
I tried out different paper fold techniques and different ways to connect papers together.
The process was frustrating at first, but I found out an easier and more stable way to connect my paper scales after trying lots of different connecting methods.
